Data Migration Consultant, Assessment Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a full-time Data Migration Consultant to join our Assessment team. Reporting to the Data Migration Team Lead, the person in this role delivers data migration services within Esri Canada’s Assessment consulting projects. The role is accountable for analyzing client data environments, defining and implementing data migration approaches, and supporting client engagements by contributing to requirements gathering, solution design, and migration execution activities. This role will be based remotely in Canada. A Day in the Life of a Data Migration Consultant at Esri Canada: Deliver data migration activities as part of consulting projects, including data extraction, transformation, loading, and validation. Gather and analyze client data requirements, source systems, and data structures to support migration planning and execution. Define and implement data mapping logic between source and target systems, identifying data quality issues, risks, and mitigation approaches. Participate in scoping, client meetings, and workshops, contributing to requirements definition and solution discussions. Collaborate with clients and project teams to support migration strategies, timelines, and deliverables aligned with project objectives. Manage assigned work independently, ensuring alignment with project plans, timelines, and quality standards. Perform data validation, reconciliation, and testing to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with business requirements. Contribute to documentation, client deliverables, and knowledge transfer activities related to data migration processes and outcomes. What you bring to the team: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in data migration, data management, or a related technical consulting environment. Demonstrated ability to analyze data structures, data models, and client environments to support migration planning and execution. Proven experience in data mapping, transformation, and validation within system implementation or migration projects. Demonstrated ability to contribute to client-facing activities, including requirements gathering, working sessions, and solution discussions. Proven ability to manage assigned tasks independently and deliver to defined timelines and quality standards. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying and resolving data quality issues. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional project teams. Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences. Proven ability to learn and apply new tools, technologies, and methodologies in a project-based environment. Fluency in English is essential, as this role requires regular client communication and support in English-speaking regions Bonus points for this position: Bilingual proficiency (English / French) is considered an asset. Compensation & Benefits: At Esri Canada, we are committed to fair and competitive compensation. This role offers a base salary range of $73,700 to $87,500 annually, determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
