About the role
Some of what you will do:
As the Manager, Digital Print Operations, you will lead the technical and design support backbone of Staples' B2B print business. You will be accountable for the service delivery, execution, and continuous evolution of both our custom web-to-print storefronts and the design coordination efforts that support B2B and print membership programs.
This role oversees two interconnected functions—one focused on building and maintaining customer storefronts, the other responsible for managing design services and coordination. Together, they enable a seamless experience for business clients from site configuration through to creative execution.
This position requires a balance of technical fluency, creative services understanding, operational discipline, and stakeholder collaboration.
Specifically, You Will:
- Digital Storefront Execution: Proven ability to lead the setup, configuration, Site Development, and ongoing management of custom digital store fronts, ensuring accuracy, uptime, and seamless integration with third-party systems.(Web to print digital store front experience an asset)
- Technical Proficiency in Production Tools: Technical fluency with tools such as FusionPro, Adobe Creative Suite, XMPie, AS400, and Salesforce, with hands-on experience troubleshooting complex issues across storefronts, asset workflows, and integration pathways.
- Print Production & Design: Print production experience with the ability to guide design execution, layout precision, and visual storytelling—ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations and align with established creative standards.
- Distributing prioritizing Workload: Coordinating internal and external design & application resources, optimizing workflows and templates to meet client expectations with speed and accuracy
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong communicator who can effectively engage IT, Operations, Sales, and external vendors to ensure smooth execution and scalable support.
- Strategic Thinking & Process Innovation: Experience building roadmaps for platform enhancements and evaluating insourcing vs outsourcing strategies to meet evolving business needs. Team Leadership & Development: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, setting performance standards, and fostering a culture of growth, transparency, and service excellence
Some of what you need:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Web Development, Digital Media, or a related discipline
- Additional certifications in project management, UX/UI, or Adobe tools considered an asset
- Hands-on experience with digital production workflows, variable data platforms, and design management practices
- Strong understanding of print production, creative review processes, and e-commerce storefront platforms
- Technical fluency with tools such as FusionPro, Adobe Creative Suite, XMPie, AS400, and Salesforce
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to balance technical scope, creative vision, and operational feasibility
- Excellent communication and cross-functional influence skills
- 3–5+ years of experience in digital production, print program management, or enterprise e-commerce delivery
- 2+ years leading cross-functional teams, ideally blending technical and creative roles
- Demonstrated experience in managing SLAs, intake pipelines, and customer-facing execution Prior experience in design coordination or agency/vendor partnership management preferred
