Job Description:
Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Manager, Data and Analytics Infrastructure to be in Toronto, Ontario.
This is a hybrid role available in Toronto, which requires 3 days onsite. While specific cities are listed in the Locations section for reference, please note that they are examples only and do not limit your application. We invite candidates from any location to apply.
Purpose: The Manager, Data and Analytics Infrastructure is an integral position in the Data & Analytics Centre (DAC) with accountability for optimizing our data foundation through managing the full data lifecycle needs, including curation, integration, and maintenance of the organization’s syndicated and proprietary data assets. This individual will also collaborate with other DAC team members and cross functional partners in applying advanced analytical techniques in generating actionable and integrated insights from our data assets.
You will be responsible for:
- Maintain and modernize the DAC with a strong understanding of data architecture, cloud platforms, databases, and analytics tools.
- Requirement to translate JnJ Canada business needs into technical solutions, including but not limited to AI/ML solutions and forecasting models.
- Need to leverage and contribute to the leadership of emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, and big data.
- Provide leadership, direction and coaching to direct reports (Manager, Data Management) including recruitment, performance management and development.
- Develop data assets, including the intake, integration, and management of syndicated and proprietary data assets as well as assess new and innovative or alternative data sets.
- Create and monitor standards of practice and procedures for data management operational processes including, ETL, validation, reference data, business rules and definitions.
- Monitor, measure, and improve quality and integrity of enterprise data assets, including data flow automation, profiling and cleansing.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key internal and external partners to effectively leverage data management capabilities.
- Create and oversee a single, trusted reference source for all relevant master data and data elements.
- Collaborate with other DAC team members in leveraging advanced analytics tools and techniques and develop integrated insights from a variety of disparate data sets.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, MBA an asset.
- Minimum 7 years’ professional relevant work experience in data management and analytics.
- Experience in pharma or healthcare with at least 3 or more years in a People Management roles will be considered an asset
- Advanced knowledge and expertise in management of pharma industry syndicated data (IQVIA) and patient support program data.
- Experience with leveraging and integrating field customer engagement data, as part of Omnichannel activities.
- Experienced in data management and warehousing tools; AWS Redshift, DataIKU.
- Prior experience in programming languages such as R and Python is considered an asset.
- Strong data integrity management and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data using statistical techniques.
- Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to understand and present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Detail and accuracy oriented.
- Strong project management skills and ability to focus on results-focused work and prioritizing multiple demands.
