Coordinator, Unscripted Development (1 Year Contract)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to support Blue Ant Studios’ Unscripted Development team.

This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day administrative operations, supporting project development and research initiatives, management of schedules as well as assisting in the organization of development materials throughout the lifecycle of a project.

This role will report to the Director, Development and is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance between our two (2) offices in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per week.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 per year, with final compensation determined by experience and qualifications.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage calendars and schedule meetings
  • Take meeting notes and distribute
  • Submit departmental expenses
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations as required
  • Help to co-ordinate development shoots and support the development team on set as required
  • Support the development team's preparation for TV markets such as Realscreen, including building meeting schedules, and preparing pitch materials.
  • Assist in maintaining development tracking grids and internal databases
  • Support preparation for development meetings and pitches
  • Build decks using Canva and pitch materials as required
  • Conduct research as required
  • Review and assess third party pitches
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to ensure smooth day-to-day department operations
  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in TV production or development coordination
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in television, film, or a related program
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and discretion with confidential materials
  • Proficiency with social media, standard office, scheduling, and document management tools
  • Experience with editing software (i.e., Avid) is an asset
