About the role

Job Description After opening and under the general direction of the Restaurant Supervisor, this position will be responsible for providing food and beverage service with an upbeat and positive attitude. The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing and ensuring guest satisfaction in a professional manner. This role must contribute to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees and must demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast-pace environment. Above all else, this position must lead by example to create Great Experiences and Memories for all guests and colleagues!

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional customer service to guests in an upbeat, positive and professional manner;
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items available;
  • Restocks, cleans and organizes all related work equipment and areas;
  • Processes all cash and credit card transactions utilizing the P.O.S. system;
  • Ensures accurate cash handling and balancing of sales and/or cash float at the end of the shift;
  • Clears dishes, empties and cleans tables properly;
  • Ensures all tables and chairs are setup and organized in the section;
  • Assists other co-workers as need and/or as requested;
  • Understands and follows opening and closing server duties;
  • Complies with all alcohol related house policies, practices and Smart Serve guidelines;
  • Monitors and communicates all beverage alcohol activities at break and shift end;
  • Regular cleaning and sanitization of tables, refrigerators, side stands and other equipment in the work area;
  • Performs preventive maintenance and cleaning of food and beverage equipment as required;
  • Adheres to all AGCO, GCGC, departmental and HR policies as they relate to functions of the role;
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education And Qualification Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent working experience;
  • Minimum one (1) year of serving experience in a high-volume establishment;
  • Valid Smart Serve Certificate required;
  • Previous cash handling experience required;
  • Previous P.O.S system experience an asset;
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, customer service and communication skills;
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required

Work Environment Considerations

  • Fast paced with multiple priorities, deadlines and deliverables; exposure to some conflict, distress and noise;
  • This role requires extended period of standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting up to 45 lbs.
  • This role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to the business needs of a 24 hour operation; will have non-traditional work hours including evening and weekend shifts.
