Are you ready to be a vital part of our automotive team as an Assistant Parts Manager? We're searching for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team at Marino's Fine Car Subaru!

The Assistant Parts Manager is responsible for developing ongoing and long-term relationships with clients. As a team player, the Assistant Parts Manager strives to develop collaborative relationships throughout the dealership.

Key responsibilities:

  • Organizes, supervises, and directs the work of the Parts Department and personnel engaged in receiving, issuing, and delivering supplies and equipment.
  • Helps Parts manager to manage and monitor parts department reporting systems to meet company requirements.
  • Manage and assist with wholesale parts operations, including collision software such as Progi, Collisionlink.
  • Assist with implementing operational targets and benchmarks regarding profitability, volume, sales etc.
  • Reviews vendor invoices for correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
  • Manages parts inventory levels and monitors old slow-moving parts inventories to be classified as obsolete inventory.
  • Handles customer complaint problems pertaining to parts and supplies.
  • Works with Parts Managers to maintain adequate supplies and parts inventory.
  • Is responsible for the security of inventory and for analyzing the quality of parts.
  • Must time inventory purchases to coincide with sales and special initiatives in order to take advantage of savings.
  • Is responsible for training and leading the Parts Department team and for reviewing team performance on a regular basis, according to dealership policy.
  • Stocks items by unpacking, arranging, and placing items in bins and on shelves; adjusting inventory system and assuring all safety risks
  • Maintains safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures, complying with codes
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of achieving or over-achieving goals, import experience
  • Great attitude with a high-energy personality
  • 3-5+ years Automotive Dealership Assistant Parts Management experience
  • Experience with DMS, specifically PBS.
  • Fixed knowledge in overall operations, management, and retail area a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, negotiation skills, and strong selling skills
  • Excellent people management skills, demonstrating an ability to organize the work, attention to detail
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and to take ownership of problems with a positive attitude and bring them to completion
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure with the ability to diffuse tense situations
  • Strong problem-solving skills & a strong sense of personal responsibility and reliability, with the desire to work as an integral member of a team
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office – Word and Excel

Working Environment:

  • Hours: 40 Hours per week
  • Working in Parts Department

Compensation:

  • Compensation range: $70,000 CAD- $90,000 CAD
  • The range may vary based on experience and qualifications.

This compensation encompasses salary, bonuses, and vacation pay as required under Ontario Regulation 476/24 made under the Employment Standards Act, 2000.
