About the role
We are working with a local residential construction company to find a Procurement Manager to lead their procurement strategy, supplier management, and cost optimization. This role will focus on improving processes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring quality standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage costs, mitigate risks, and support growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement processes and standardize procedures.
- Manage tenders, contracts, and supplier onboarding.
- Build and evaluate supplier relationships with clear performance metrics.
- Drive cost savings through value engineering and lifecycle cost analysis.
- Ensure supplier compliance with regulations, standards, and contracts.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with suppliers and teams to foster innovation and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- Experience in residential development/construction.
- Professional certifications (CSCP, CPSM, SCMP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma) an asset.
- Proven experience in procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Estimation experience considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage risks, optimize costs, and improve processes.
