About the role

Located in the heart of the Niagara Region – just minutes from one of the world’s most well-known tourism destinations – Niagara College offers more than 130 innovative programs between our campuses in Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Applications are invited for the temporary part-time position of Recruitment Associate - Seasonal in the Student Recruitment division. The starting salary is $28.01/hr for a 24 hour work week. Additional hours may be required at peak times during the year such as start or end of term. This position is based at the Welland Campus and the Daniel J. Patterson Campus, depending on operational needs. Travel throughout the Niagara region and GTA to attend various recruitment events and activities will also be required. This temporary position is expected to run from August 2026 to January 2027. Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment Operations, the Recruitment Associate - Seasonal plays an integral role in supporting Niagara College's student recruitment efforts by generating awareness, interest, and engagement among prospective students and their key influencers. Acting as a positive ambassador for the college, this role is the first point of contact at a variety of recruitment events and activities, providing accurate information about Niagara College's programs, services, campus life, and student experience. Through meaningful interactions, the Recruitment Associate helps prospective students explore their post-secondary options and supports them throughout their decision-making journey. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Serve as the first point of contact for prospective students at community and high school events, effectively communicating Niagara College’s brand and offerings Generate and qualify leads through in-person and online outreach Schedule and conduct fairs, presentations, and interactive sessions with prospective students and partners Enter contact and interest details into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system from prospective students Build awareness and strengthen relationships with prospective students, parents, guidance and employment counselors, and teachers Represent Niagara College at key recruitment events including conferences, tradeshows, and sporting events Collaborate with internal departments and contribute within a cross-functional team Travel locally and provincially, including trips up to one week in duration Qualifications: Minimum two-year diploma in Business, Communications, Social Sciences, Humanities, Education, or similar field of study Understanding of Niagara College and/or the Ontario college system is considered an asset Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is an asset Experience in sales, marketing, or front-line recruitment roles is preferred Knowledge of secondary and post-secondary school systems is an asset Strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Flexible schedule, including availability for some evenings and weekends Valid G-class driver’s license with a clean driving record Must be at least 21 years of age for insurance purposes (college provides a rental or college vehicle for authorized travel and covers related expenses) Access to personal transportation is considered an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) Niagara College is strongly committed to diversity and inclusion within its community.
