Join our dynamic commodity trading team as a Natural Gas & Power Trading Analyst II. In this role, you’ll enhance technical expertise in North American power and gas markets, develop and maintain analytical models, and support strategy development across multiple commodities. You’ll collaborate with traders and cross-functional teams to drive business growth and innovation.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain analytical and optimization models, including supply/demand and pipeline flow models to support trade strategies
- Optimize and support current models, ensuring accuracy and consistency with underlying data
- Conduct market research and analysis to directly support trading activities
- Provide analytical support for business development opportunities
- Build relationships with industry customers and partners to understand key business drivers and anticipate industry trends
- Collaborate closely with the commercial team to support growth initiatives and foster a culture of customer focus, innovation, and teamwork
Who You Are
- You hold a university degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistical Modeling, Economics, or a related field
- Have two or more years of relevant experience (a combination of education and experience may be considered)
- Possess advanced computer and analytical skills, especially with Excel
- Demonstrate excellent computer programming skills and strong data management/database knowledge
- Exhibit strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines
- Are recognized as a collaborative team member with excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
