What is the opportunity?
This role is within the Cyber Technology Service Operations, Cyber Technology Office organization. As Senior Manager, Endpoint Security Service Operations, you will provide leadership, consistent levels of organizational and technical expertise necessary for successful planning, implementation, maintenance and support of RBC’s critical global security infrastructure platforms and services.
The primary responsibilities of this role is to provide advanced level technical support for troubleshooting, implementation, configuration changes and manage Key Control requirements across a variety of Endpoint and Threat Surface technologies. You will be regularly working with technical teams, business partners and vendors to resolve incidents/problems, manage through all audit/regulatory processes, remediate agent coverage and currency.
What will you do?
- Manages a diverse team of technical staff and providing support to Endpoint and Threat Surface technologies
- Lead automation opportunities and incorporate AI capabilities to enhance day to day operational processes
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, business and interface partners
- Promote and enable Talent Management processes including recruitment, performance management, empowering staff, performance development/coaching, reward & recognition and workforce planning
- Leads the development and oversees the operation of global business activities, including incident resolution, problem resolution, change and request planning, systems technical currency (N, N-1), vulnerability, compliance (Technical Security Standards) and monitors and reports on overall progress.
- Runs the business meeting or exceeding operational KPI’s/KRI’s, Key Control and Audit requirements, expectations to maintain systems within compliance requirements
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives to improve service levels and or reduce cost.
- On-call and escalation support
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have:
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Post-Secondary Degree or College diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Thorough understanding of Endpoint Security concepts and controls. Strong experience working with a majority of the following technologies:
- Endpoint: Crowdstrike, FireEye, Lookout, Snare, Illumio, Beyond Trust, Guardium Encryption, Guardium DAM, Encase, Imperva
- Threat Surface: Tenable.Sc, Aqua Public Cloud, Tenable.IO.Cloud
- Experience with Windows/Linux/AIX server platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess issues with unfamiliar technology.
- Ability to thrive in an environment with new and evolving technology.
- Ability to interface with a client project team and deliver a calm approach to resolving issues.
- Project delivery experience a strong advantage
- The ability to quickly assimilate knowledge in new products will be key
Nice-to-Have:
- College diploma or University degree related to Information Technology, with a focus on Cyber Security or Telecommunications
- Certifications in information security (e.g.. CISSP, CCSP, CEH, ITIL)
- Understanding of Agile (Jira Planning), Scrum, DevOps and Cloud practices
- Fluency in programming languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, etc.) is considered an asset
- Cloud Platform Knowledge (Microsoft Azure/Amazon Web Services)
