About the role
Our client is looking for a hard-working, motivated individual to become a part of the team. This new hybrid role supports both the existing Warehouse and Customer Service team.
Warehouse responsibilities include but are not limited to picking orders, putting away stock and materials, inventory control, and warehouse cleaning. Safety practices must be followed. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Customer Service role includes but is not limited to serving customers in person, via the telephone, and email. You will be accountable for dealing with customer inquiries, complaints, and processing transactions. Also need to follow all corporate procedures and policies.
Job Duties:
Customer Service Responsibilities:
- Build long-term relationships with customers to foster loyalty and satisfaction.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure a positive resolution.
- Communicate changes in policies, procedures, products, services, promotions, or other relevant updates to customers.
- Prepare sales quotations, track orders, and order entry.
- Reconcile freight charges and ensure accurate billing.
Operational Support:
- Adhere to corporate and departmental policies and procedures to maintain consistency and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the customer service process to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate freight handling, including sorting and moving products to designated areas.
Order Processing & Inventory Management:
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup, including loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping.
- Inspect products for damage or defects before shipping.
- Monitor outstanding orders and ensure they are completed on time.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Keep customer account information up to date and accurate.
- Warehouse duties as needed, such as organizing stock and handling shipping/receiving.
Team Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with both the customer service and warehouse teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Demonstrate leadership by maintaining high service standards and exceeding customer expectations.
- Ensure clear communication of work orders, instructions, and customer needs to team members.
- Self-motivation to achieve individual goals while supporting team objectives.
Physical & Operational Requirements:
- Meet the physical demands of the role, such as standing for long periods and lifting, pushing, or pulling as required.
- Operate office and warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pump trucks, carts and computer-assisted inventory systems.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, maintaining an efficient and safe environment.
- Must be able to lift to 50lbs.
Other Duties:
- Perform any other duties as required by the business or management to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Have a Forklift License
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Able to work well under pressure and strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Experience in using Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook
- Proven data entry, data editing and typing skills
- Professional appearance and manners
- Safety shoes are required.
