At ATB, we exist to make it possible for our clients, team members and communities. Our purpose is more than aspirational. It's a real commitment we live every day through our values (what we call the ATB ID).

Life at ATB is about more than work. In fact, we’re consistently recognized as one of Canada's top employers thanks to our high-care, high-performance culture, upheld by the three commitments we make to our team members:

Impact in action: No matter where you are in the organization, you're empowered to make an impact in the lives of our clients and communities.

Thrive together: We want you—the unique, authentic you—to feel safe and celebrated at work. We're on a continuous journey to build the most flexible and inclusive programs.

Ready for tomorrow: We want to enable your success through interesting and challenging work, performance enablement, and learning and development.

About the Role

Are you a meticulous problem-solver with a passion for precision?

As our next Analyst III - Plan Tax, Estates, and Plan Admin Operations, you'll be a key contributor in a fast-paced environment, managing complex transactions and ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and compliance. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented self-starter who is committed to continuous learning.
Reporting to the Manager, Operations Processing, you will be the primary point of contact for registered plan and estate administration transactions. You'll independently manage your time, monitor multiple queues to meet Service Level Agreements, and ensure adherence to regulatory controls. You'll also serve as the first point of triage for all rush or escalated requests.

Accountabilities

  • Prioritize Work Demands: Efficiently manage competing priorities to process high-volume, complex transactions in a fast-paced environment across multiple queues, including registered plans, tax, and estates.
  • Resolve & Escalate Issues: Independently identify issues and determine the best path to resolution, escalating to the appropriate teams or leaders when needed.
  • Manage Tax & Compliance: Fulfill all tax reporting requirements, including issuing tax slips, remitting CRA tax, and reconciling accounts. Ensure all required documentation is present for compliance.
  • Mitigate Risk: Conduct transaction monitoring, quality assurance checks, and risk management activities with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate and Support: Work independently while collaborating with colleagues to solve problems and assist partners across ATB Wealth. You will also support firm-wide initiatives through project engagement.
  • Champion the Client: Use strong critical thinking and judgment to investigate and resolve requests from advisors and partners, ensuring a positive outcome for our clients.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and report on trends and recurring issues, proactively innovate and design efficiencies and process improvements through to implementation.

Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • Proven ability to learn and work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities, with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to professionally engage with internal and external partners.
  • Proficiency with G-Suite applications and data analysis, with an eye for identifying opportunities to increase efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of investment industry policies related to registered accounts (RRSPs, RRIFs, LIFs, LIRAs, TFSAs, RESPs, and RDSPs).
  • Experience within the securities industry, an IIROC licensed firm, or previous client service is beneficial.
  • A working knowledge of Estate Administration is a strong asset.
  • A post-secondary education or diploma is preferred.

Don’t meet all the requirements on the list?
A resume only goes so far in expressing who you are and the unique perspectives you bring. If you believe your skills and experience align with the role—but you might not check all the boxes—we want to hear from you. We encourage candidates from all work backgrounds, equity-seeking communities and experience levels to apply. If you’re seeking a career where your drive, perspective and growth are celebrated, we want to hear from you.

We’re dedicated to building a workforce reflective of those within our communities, and a culture where our team members are equipped with what they need to succeed—their way. Part of creating an inclusive workplace is recognizing our role in advancing Truth and Reconciliation. We are committed to meeting and exceeding the standards set out in the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations program created by the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business.
