Equans is looking for a Junior Bid Manager to join our dynamic Business Development team. In this role, you’ll support the end-to-end bid process, working closely with Bid Writers, Account Executives, and Managers. You’ll play a key role in coordinating proposal efforts, ensuring deadlines are met, and helping shape compelling submissions that win work.

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end bid process, ensuring timely, high-quality, and compliant submissions.
- Interpret client requirements and develop winning bid strategies in collaboration with technical and commercial teams.
- Coordinate and manage bid planning activities, including kick-off meetings, bid schedules, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the development of bid content, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company capabilities.
- Write, edit, and review technical and non-technical content to ensure clarity, consistency, and impact.
- Develop compelling executive summaries and value propositions tailored to each opportunity.
- Ensure all bid documentation adheres to brand guidelines and quality standards.
- Conduct post-bid reviews and implement lessons learned to continuously improve bid processes.
- Maintain a bid library and knowledge base of reusable content, templates, and case studies.
- Collaborate with business development, legal, finance, and operations teams to gather input and approvals.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform bid strategy and positioning.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Authorized to work in Canada.
- Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings.
- Training or experience in proposal writing or any pertinent education background.
- 1+ years of solid experience in writing bids.
- Experience in facility management.
- Ability to understand technical writing and communication.
- Excellent writing (including grammar, style, spelling, punctuation), editing, and proofreading skills for accuracy and quality.
Skills
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in bid management, proposal coordination, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, especially in construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and InDesign is an asset.
- Familiarity with various contract types and delivery models
- Ability to analyze RFPs and develop compliant, persuasive responses.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across geographies and disciplines.
- Experience with CRM and bid management tools is preferred.
- Adaptable & Strategic: Quick learner with a flexible mindset and a focus on continuous improvement and client-centered solutions.
