Position Title: Manager, Visual Presentation
Compensation: Base salary of $85,000–$100,000, plus eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus.
The Manager, Visual Presentation is responsible for leading the visual presentation strategy across all Canadian retail locations, ensuring every store delivers a compelling, commercially driven and brand-consistent customer experience. This role owns the development, communication and execution of visual merchandising direction for all campaigns, promotions, product launches and seasonal initiatives. Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Commercial, Retail Operations and Field Leadership, the Manager, Visual Presentation translates business priorities into impactful in-store experiences that drive customer engagement, sales and operational excellence. This role provides clear visual leadership to the retail field through comprehensive VM presentations, and guidelines ensuring flawless execution across the store network. This position is based at the Toronto Head Office and requires weekly travel to stores across the GTA, with periodic travel across Canada to support store openings, field coaching and business reviews. A strong presence in stores is essential to continuously evaluate execution, identify opportunities and inspire excellence.
Key Accountabilities
Visual Presentation Strategy & Leadership Own the visual presentation strategy for all retail stores, ensuring alignment with brand objectives, customer experience and commercial priorities. Develop end-to-end visual presentation plans for all campaigns, promotions, seasonal launches and new product introductions. Lead the creation and delivery of campaign VM presentations, providing clear direction to Retail Operations and store teams ahead of each launch. Create comprehensive VM guidelines that outline display standards, merchandising priorities, fixture layouts, storytelling and execution expectations for every campaign. Continuously evolve visual merchandising standards based on customer insights, commercial performance and retail trends. Champion visual excellence across the retail network while maintaining consistency in brand presentation.
Visual Communication & Retail Engagement
Own all visual merchandising communication to the retail field. Develop weekly visual communication updates to keep stores informed of merchandising and promotional changes and execution expectations. Produce easy-to-follow visual guides, presentation decks and execution documents that enable store teams to deliver consistent results. Translate complex campaign strategies into clear, engaging and actionable visual communication. Deliver virtual presentation sessions to ensure store teams understand campaign objectives and visual merchandising plans.
Campaign Planning & Execution
Partner closely with Marketing to translate campaign creative into impactful in-store customer experiences. Collaborate with Commercial and Retail Operations to ensure merchandising priorities support inventory levels, promotional strategies and sales objectives. Manage relationships with external visual merchandising and production vendors, including sourcing, quotation reviews, production oversight, budget adherence, and delivery performance. Test innovative merchandising concepts and recommend enhancements that improve customer engagement and conversion.
Commercial Performance
Utilize sales reporting, customer insights and store feedback to optimize merchandising strategies. Analyze campaign performance to identify opportunities for improving visual presentation and product placement. Recommend adjustments to merchandising based on inventory, product performance and business priorities.
Skills & Experience
5+ years of progressive experience in Visual Merchandising, Visual Presentation, Retail Experience, or a related field, including experience leading cross-functional projects and driving execution across multiple retail locations. Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into compelling retail experiences. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, SketchUp, and Adobe Photoshop to create compelling visual presentations, store layouts, and visual merchandising communications. Strong understanding of customer behaviour, retail trends and the beauty industry. Highly organized with exceptional project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Additional Requirements
Ability to lift, push, and move visual merchandising fixtures and materials up to 25 lbs. Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. Ability to travel regularly throughout the GTA and periodically across Canada to support store visits, openings, and field initiatives.
