Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Strategy and Performance, the project manager is responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle. The project manager will work closely with operational leads, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to ensure the success of projects. Must have experience with project management methodologies, effectively managing project teams, and implementing projects successfully within scope and budget.
The Project Manager will establish and cultivate relationships at all levels to create the conditions required for effective engagement in support of the delivery of key strategic priorities.
The Project Manager will be collaborative to ensure the successful integration and sustainability of project outcomes into day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
Education/Specific Training Requirements:
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, health sciences, or business administration field or recognized equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Relevant Experience and Knowledge

- Minimum of 5 years progressive project management experience
- Relevant and recent experience in a hospital/healthcare setting
- Knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations, standards, principles/practices and ministry and municipal policies affecting the hospital
- Experience creating project plans, project schedules, and associated project materials
- Experience working in a distributed environment with multiple decision makers
- Ability to effectively oversee projects, manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments and delegate appropriately
- Demonstrated understanding of project lifecycles and project management methodologies
- Proven ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders to establish trust, credibility and respect
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with an ability coach/mentor teams, resolve conflicts and negotiate on behalf of the hospital
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Excellent presentation, technical writing, facilitation and training skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Excel
