The work location is inNunavikand the normal work schedule is11 hoursper day on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (84 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Surface Services General Foreman, the Surface Services Supervisor coordinates the work and services offered by his department. His mandate is to ensure that workers can perform their daily tasks while respecting health, safety, environmental and operational standards. He assumes the following responsibilities in particular:
- Prepare and conduct daily health and safety meetings with workers.
- Prepare and give each worker their tasks for the day;
- Follow up on each of his workers, analysis of the task to be executed, risk analysis during special work, as well as the daily work card rounds;
- Be able to make and adapt to changes in priority of the current day (planned and unplanned work);
- Responsible for the good management of the site (road network of the main site, storage area, snow removal management);
- Complete the various reports: daily, weekly, monthly and end of rotation;
- Place orders for the daily needs of the workers;
- Collaborate with other departments to offer a good quality of service;
- Control of schedules and fill in the data for the payroll department;
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the department;
- Participate in the personnel evaluation process;
- Perform all other related tasks.
Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or vocational diploma (DEP) in an appropriate discipline.
- Have a minimum of 10 years experience in personnel supervision.
- Experience in the following areas: surface mining and/or road transport and/or machinery service in an industrial environment and/or civil works;
- Have good stress management skills;
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Possess a general explosives license.
Nice to have
- Bilingualism (French and functional English);
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of IT Guide
- Must have worked in a northern environment.
