As the new Health & Safety Officer, you’ll play a key leadership role in shaping, maintaining, and continuously improving health and safety practices across a dynamic construction environment.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead the ongoing development and improvement of the company’s Health & Safety Program, policies, and procedures
- Manage compliance platforms (Avetta, ISN, ComplyWorks, Congibox) and maintain training records and certification matrices
- Coordinate PPE procurement, inspections, and safety documentation
- Plan and execute internal audits, toolbox talks, and monthly safety inspections
- Track and analyze incident data and safety performance statistics
- Deliver onboarding, orientations, and internal H&S training sessions
- Partner with supervisors and employees to promote a proactive safety mindset across all operations
- Serve as a Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) member and champion COR certification initiatives
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- A passion for safety leadership and continuous improvement
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A collaborative, approachable, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Comfort working independently while engaging with field and office teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Trimble Vista or safety compliance portals (Avetta, ISN, ComplyWorks) is an asset
- Prior experience in a Health & Safety role within construction or a related field is preferred
- Bilingualism (English/French) and relevant post-secondary education are considered assets
