Position Summary We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Partner to support LifeLabs’ Lab Operations, Medical Science, and QRA functions. This hybrid role can be based in Toronto, ON or Vancouver, BC with an expectation to be onsite once a week, while remaining flexible to 1–2 days per week if needed.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted HR partner to senior leaders, providing strategic advice, coaching, and people-focused solutions to help the business achieve its goals. You’ll play a key role in driving organizational effectiveness, building leadership capability, and supporting a positive, high-performance culture. This is an opportunity to leverage your HR expertise, strategic thinking, business acumen, and change management skills to help solve complex people challenges and enable LifeLabs’ success.

What You’ll Do As a Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Partner, you will:
- Strategic Partnership & Consultative HR: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing strategic insights, coaching, and recommendations on complex people matters. Translate business strategy into HR priorities, programs, and solutions. Identify emerging trends and issues to inform decision-making.
- Enable People Strategy & HR Plan: Partner with business leaders to implement the People and Culture strategy, including DEI, Performance, Talent, and Engagement initiatives. Drive continuous improvement and lead HR projects as needed.
- Employee & Labour Relations: Collaborate with the Employee and Labour Relations (ER/LR) team to manage complex employee relations matters, ensure investigations are understood and acted on, and support the implementation of solutions.
- Talent & Workforce Planning: Develop and implement integrated talent strategies, support succession planning and leadership development, and enable team performance to meet current and future business needs.
- Employee Experience & Culture: Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture. Partner with leaders to drive engagement and provide guidance on people leadership practices.
- Organizational Development & Change Management: Assess business impacts, design and lead organizational and work redesign initiatives, and implement change strategies that enhance adoption while minimizing disruption.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of progressive HR or HRBP experience supporting business leaders, ideally in unionized and/or national organizations.
- University degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders, providing coaching, influencing, and actionable recommendations.
- Strong strategic thinker with business and financial acumen.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, organizational design, and change management.
- Skilled in problem identification, analysis, and resolution, with a data-informed approach to HR decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to create executive summaries and presentations.

What We Offer Salary range: $110,400 – 140,800 CAD annually (commensurate with experience)
