The Energy group in our Corporate Department is currently seeking a senior-level associate to join its highly regarded team located in our Calgary Office. This group provides leading advice on all aspects of energy-related private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and complex project development transactions, including project structuring, co-ownership arrangements, operations, marketing, construction, procurement, supply/offtake transactions, and new development involving industry conglomerates and investor groups to emerging independent producers and operators.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will be qualified to practice law in Alberta and have the following credentials:
- Between 6 - 8 years of experience (in private practice or a combination of private practice and in-house) in oil and gas, power and renewables, including private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and/or project development;
- Strong academic credentials; and
- Strong analytical, communication and drafting skills.
