Job Summary
Under supervision of the Facility Supervisor, this position patrols golf course property for the purpose of directing players in the proper manner of play and the proper observance of course rules and regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Patrols golf course property on foot or by motorized vehicle.
- Maintains flow of play by speeding up slow groups and assisting players where necessary.
- Enforces anti-litter regulations and pick up litter where necessary.
- Conducts spot-checks of players for possession of current playing ticket.
- Ensures that players replace divots and repair ball marks.
- Prevents entrance, onto the course, of players and the public who have not paid green fees.
- Inspects course and reports conditions needing correction.
- Establishes good public relations with patrons of the golf course.
- Informs golfers of golf course regulations and ensures that the regulations are being followed.
- Resolves problems that occur on the golf course where possible.
- Reports problems to the supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience Requirements:

Grade 10 education.

One season’s golf course experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
- Knowledge of the rules and terminology of the game of golf.
- Ability to advise golfers of proper playing procedures.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective public relations.
Additional Requirements
Shift work and weekend work are involved.
**Weekly Hours:**20
Salary Range:$20.13 to $22.20 CAD per hour (2026 rates)
