Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to staff approximately 7 EL-04 positions and 16 EL-05 positions on an indeterminate
(permanent) basis in the National Capital Region and Kingston, ON. Positions may be designated as English Essential or Bilingual and will require various security clearance levels.Please note: all roles involve full-time onsite work across multiple locations, which may required flexibility for regular travel.A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process and used to staff identical or similar positions with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), language profiles, operational requirements, and conditions of employment at the Department of National Defence.The first applications could be collected from the inventory as early as March 10, 2026. Operational Requirements

OR1. Willing and able to work overtime as required.OR2. Willing and able to work on weekends, holidays, and be on-call for emergencies.OR3. Willing and able to perform physically demanding tasks including safely lifting and carrying up to 40kg, climbing ladders and structures, spending prolonged periods on step ladders and working aloft, bending, and stooping.OR5. Note: Normally, an acceptable training program in electronics technology involves the completion of two to three years of post-secondary study in this subject
