Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Sales Associate at Bashem Safaris – Tours and Travel. The Sales Associate will respond to inbound inquiries, engage prospective clients via email, phone, and digital channels, and guide travelers through the full sales cycle from initial interest to booking. Day-to-day responsibilities include understanding client needs, proposing tailored safari and tour packages, preparing quotations, and following up to convert leads into confirmed reservations. The role involves maintaining accurate customer records in the CRM, coordinating with operations and guides to confirm availability, and ensuring that itineraries align with company values and sustainability commitments. The Sales Associate will also support promotional campaigns, gather client feedback, and contribute ideas to improve the sales process and customer experience. Qualifications Proven skills in consultative sales, customer service, and relationship building, ideally in travel, tourism, or hospitality. Strong communication abilities, including clear written and verbal English, active listening, and culturally sensitive client interaction. Familiarity with online travel research, itinerary planning, and use of CRM or booking tools to manage leads and reservations. Basic understanding of digital sales channels, such as email outreach, social media engagement, and responding to online inquiries. Knowledge or strong interest in East African destinations, wildlife safaris, and cultural tourism is highly beneficial. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple client requests. Commitment to ethical, sustainable, and community-conscious travel practices. Relevant education or training in tourism, hospitality, business, or a related field is an advantage.
