About the role

Duties Reporting to Manager - Planning & Operations Analysis, the Work Center Coordinator (WCC) coordinates the flow of work in order to expedite production work flow to meet production schedules. Other duties include:

Shifts Must have flexibility to work shifts to accommodate production schedule as required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of escalation between production team and support functions to highlight production needs.
  • Coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Review weekly production schedule and priorities with planning team to determine short term impediments to production plan.
  • Review shortage reports daily and coordinate with planning, procurement and logistics on production needs.
  • Attend Daily Boardwalk meetings and escalate impediments to the production schedule.
  • Support other cross functional activities as needed e.g., fit-check, reallocations, etc.

Qualifications Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to learn technical material to accomplish necessary objectives
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of the production functions within a manufacturing setting
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as master schedules, safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to apply good judgment and understanding to carry out instructions mentioned in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

Experience

  • 2+ years of manufacturing support experience

Education

  • College Diploma or equivalent experience in Operations Management
