About the role

The Winnipeg Football Club is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working individual for the position of Stadium Maintenance Technician at Princess Auto Stadium. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Stadium Maintenance they will assist in ensuring the stadium stays well maintained and in excellent operating condition while playing a key role in creating a safe space for all stakeholders, players and fans. The Winnipeg Football Club is dedicated to recruiting and developing individuals with the skills, experience, desire, and values to contribute to the continued growth and success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

·       Assist with seasonal stadium start up and shut down

·       General building maintenance including but not limited to: Patching/painting, minor plumbing, repairing seats, replacing ceiling tiles, flooring repairs, changing light bulbs, and repairing furniture, office and cleaning equipment

·       Assist with mechanical systems maintenance

·       Assist with emergency response

·       Maintain a clean, and organized workshop

·       Assist with event prep/teardown, field and building turnovers

Requirements

·       Basic knowledge/experience in building maintenance practices

·       Ability to work with a variety of power and hand tools safely and effectively

·       Strong organizational and time management skills

·       Ability to work evening/weekends/overtime based on event schedule

·       Must be comfortable working with the public and have strong interpersonal, verbal communication skills

·       Ability to work well under pressure and tight timelines in a safe and effective manner

·       Ability to work well with a team as well as independently

·       Capable of basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Web Brower)

·       Ability to walk for extended periods of time, climb ladders and lift 50lbs+

·       A valid drivers license

·       Experience in trades work is considered an asset

·       Experience with operating or maintaining heavy equipment (loader, skid steer, forklift) is considered an asset
