About the role

Spécialiste adjoint(e) – Soumissions, vous participerez à la préparation de propositions, appels d’offres, devis et autres documents décrivant les produits et services de l’entreprise, en réponse aux demandes de clients potentiels.

Responsabilités

  • Aider à identifier les projets potentiels à soumissionner et compiler la liste des besoins en matériel, y compris les fournitures électriques, l’éclairage, les appareillages de commutation et les autres équipements de distribution.
  • Participer, sous supervision, aux négociations avec les fournisseurs et les clients.
  • Préparer les relevés de matériel nécessaires à la production des devis clients, notamment pour le matériel électrique, les données/communications, les appareillages de commutation, les équipements et l’éclairage.
  • Coordonner la réception des renseignements requis pour préparer la soumission finale.
  • Effectuer le suivi des devis ouverts ou en attente auprès des représentants des ventes et des clients afin de connaître leur statut.
  • Communiquer avec les représentants de comptes, les directeurs de comptes et les représentants aux ventes internes afin de s’assurer que les devis et les commandes qui en découlent sont complets.
  • Enregistrer les projets pour lesquels les clients soumissionnent.
  • Tenir à jour les catalogues et les listes de prix.
  • Effectuer la saisie de données et fournir un service à la clientèle de base une fois le projet attribué.

Qualifications

  • Diplôme d’études secondaires ou équivalent requis; baccalauréat ou diplôme universitaire préféré.
  • De 0 à 2 ans d’expérience pertinente.
  • Capacité à interagir avec les clients et les représentants des fabricants afin d’obtenir les informations de prix et leur collaboration.
  • Solides compétences en mathématiques et en analyse.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication et en organisation.
  • Bonnes compétences informatiques.
  • Connaissance du domaine électrique, incluant les fournitures électriques, l’éclairage, les appareillages de commutation et les équipements de distribution.

As an Associate Specialist – Quotations, you will assist in developing proposals, bids, quotations, or other documents describing organizational products and services in response to requests from prospective clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with identifying potential projects for bid and compiles list of material requirements including, supplies, lighting, switchgear, and other distribution apparatuses.  
  • Supervised negotiations with both suppliers and customers.
  • Provides material including, data-com, switchgear and apparatus, and lighting, take-offs for preparing customer quotations.
  • Coordinates receipt of required information for preparation of final quotation submittal.
  • Follows-up on open and outstanding quotations with salespersons and customers to determine status.
  • Communicates with account representatives, account executives, and inside sales reps to ensure quotes and resulting orders are complete.
  • Posts projects being bid by customers.
  • Maintains catalogs and price lists.
  • Performs data entry and provides basic customer service once project is awarded.

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 0 to 2 years of related experience.
  • Ability to interact with customers and factory representatives to obtain pricing information and cooperation. 
  • Strong math skills and analytical skills. 
  • Strong communication and organization skills. 
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of the electrical industry, including electrical supplies, lighting, switchgear, and distribution equipment.

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
