We are actively seeking an Equipment and Maintenance Manager to lead our equipment, tooling, and maintenance functions within a regulated medical device environment. The successful candidate will ensure that equipment and tools are designed, maintained, calibrated, and qualified to meet production, quality, and regulatory requirements. This leadership role provides oversight in electro-mechanical tool design, equipment selection, and maintenance programs, with automation considered as part of overall tool development. You will play a key role in ensuring that equipment and tooling systems remain reliable and controlled from design through to daily use, while developing and mentoring a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff.

Impact Through Innovation

• Lead equipment, tooling, and maintenance projects, ensuring tool design and implementation (including automation aspects where appropriate) meet production needs.
• Oversee calibration, qualification, maintenance schedules, and documentation to keep all systems accurate and compliant.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support equipment/tool design, selection, repair, duplication, and long-term maintenance planning.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions related to equipment, tooling, and associated documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability, tooling performance, and maintenance systems in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff, providing direction, feedback, and career development support.
• Promote and model adherence to quality and health & safety standards.

Your Unique Expertise
Required skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).

• 5+ years of leadership experience in equipment, tooling, or maintenance engineering, ideally in the medical device or regulated industry.

• Experience in electro-mechanical tool design; exposure to automation within tool design is an asset.

• Strong understanding of quality-controlled documentation in regulated environments.

• Proven experience managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

• Proven ability to lead and influence teams across functions with strong communication skills.

• Experience balancing compliance with production demands in a manufacturing environment.
