Role Overview
As the SAP B1 Administrator, you will be the subject matter expert and owner of our SAP B1 environment. You will ensure the stability, security, and optimization of SAP B1 while supporting business operations across Customer Care, finance, logistics, and supply chain. This role requires strong technical acumen, the ability to implement and support add-ons, optimize reporting, and collaborate with business stakeholders to align SAP with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and optimize the SAP B1 server infrastructure.
- Configure, support, and troubleshoot SAP B1 and add-ons (including logistics modules).
- Oversee, schedule, and verify backups and system restores.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Crystal Reports for business reporting.
- Manage release and transport activities, including documentation, testing, and deployment.
- Perform system refreshes, system copies, and build new SAP environments from snapshots.
- Apply support packages, patches, and add-ons.
- Maintain and monitor system performance, address issues proactively.
- Configure and maintain system landscape operations.
- Prepare and own user guides, training materials, and knowledge documentation.
- Manage routine SAP system checks and compliance controls.
- Review and maintain user access levels and authorizations.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting and troubleshooting.
- Support IT projects using Agile methodology.
- Collaborate with business teams to align SAP processes with operational needs.
SAP B1 Module Knowledge
Experience supporting SAP B1 across the following functional areas is highly desirable:
- Administration – company setup, posting periods, user authorization & license management, add-on management, UI configuration.
- Financials – general ledger setup, journal entry troubleshooting, cost center mapping.
- Sales (A/R) – sales order integrations, ATP calculations, order-to-invoice flow, transaction issue resolution.
- Purchasing (A/P) – PO creation errors, GRPO issues, supplier invoice posting, landed cost allocation.
- Master Data Management – maintaining customer/vendor master data, item master data integrity.
- Banking – payment troubleshooting, bank master maintenance, reconciliation support.
- Inventory – warehouse setup, ATP integration, picklist logic, bin location management, WMS integration.
- Reporting – SQL/Crystal custom reports, report troubleshooting, and enhancements.
Technical Expertise
- Hands-on experience with SAP B1 version 10.
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server.
- Experience implementing and supporting SAP add-ons.
- Familiarity with APIs and integration frameworks.
- Understanding of the ITIL framework in at least one prior project.
- Experience with:

- Java or C# programming (asset)
- Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, Logic Apps
- Microsoft Azure environment
