Schedule: Continental Rotating (Days / Nights)
Status: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $20.03/hour
Overview
Paladin Security is currently hiring Full-Time Security Guards to support operations at North York General Hospital – Leslie. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming healthcare environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is professional, observant, and confident working in a fast-paced hospital setting while demonstrating empathy and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of hospital grounds, including entrances, parking areas, and patient wards
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarms to ensure safety and policy compliance
- Control access to restricted areas and verify identification when required
- Respond to incidents and emergencies with professionalism and sound judgment
- Assist patients, staff, and visitors in a courteous and respectful manner
- De-escalate conflicts using appropriate non-violent crisis intervention techniques
- Complete accurate and detailed incident reports in accordance with Paladin protocols
- Collaborate with hospital personnel, first responders, and law enforcement as needed
Requirements

Valid Security Guard License for the Province of Ontario

Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C from a WSIB-approved provider

Proof of two doses of COVID-19 vaccination
-
Up-to-date immunization records for:
-
Mumps
-
Measles
-
Rubella
-
Varicella
-
Two-step Tuberculosis (TB) skin test

Valid G Class Driver’s License
-
Fluent in English (oral and written)
-
Ability to work a Continental Rotating schedule (days/nights)
