People & Team Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and coach a multidisciplinary engineering team of approximately 8 engineers and technical resources
  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development
  • Build a strong, collaborative, and accountable engineering culture
  • Ensure cross-training and development of critical technical skills

Engineering & Project Management

  • Own capital projects (CAPEX) from concept through implementation, including multi-million-dollar investments
  • Manage equipment design, procurement, testing, installation, validation, commissioning, and development of SOPs/standard work for Operators
  • Approve engineering documentation including change controls, validation documents, work orders, and technical reports
  • Deliver projects that support safety, quality, OEE, cost reduction, and production objectives
  • Develop accurate project estimates and consistently meet target schedules and budgets

Manufacturing, Facilities & Utilities Support

  • Oversee Process and Plant Engineering while supporting utilities, facilities, and building systems
  • Manage HVAC changes, utilities, and energy usage initiatives
  • Provide technical input to Maintenance for preventive maintenance programs and spare parts strategies
  • Support production troubleshooting, investigations, and root cause analysis
  • Coordinate and manage vendors, contractors, and external service providers

Quality, Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards (e.g., ISO)
  • Support audits, management of change (MOC), and engineering document control
  • Partner with Quality on new product introductions, process changes, and engineering change execution (PEIO)

Continuous Improvement & Sustainability

  • Lead Lean and/or Six Sigma initiatives and support Kaizen events
  • Drive energy reduction and sustainability projects
  • Optimize manufacturing processes through Industry 4.0 technologies to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost performance

Strategy, Planning & Reporting

  • Partner with the Plant Manager and functional leaders in the plant to align engineering resources with long-term business needs
  • Lead capital planning and develop business cases (AFE submissions)
  • Establish engineering priorities aligned with plant and business objectives
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics
