Job Summary: Assist the Manager with the operations and maintenance of school division’s facilities and the included real estate. The goal of the Facilities Supervisor is to provide safe, clean, efficient, environmentally healthy, and structurally sound facilities to promote student learning and effective working environments. Travel will be required throughout the school division.
Education & Qualifications:

Post secondary education in Business Administration, Facilities Management or equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted, including Journeyman status in any related trades
-
Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in facility operations or maintenance
-
Trade certificate, experience and/or working knowledge in automated building control and heating ventilation air conditioning (H.V.A.C.) systems and asset (must be willing to learn)

Working knowledge of legislation & applicable codes that apply to educational facilities.

Knowledge of policies, practices and procedures governing construction, renovations and maintenance of facilities.

Strong Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems

A valid Class 5 driver’s license

A working knowledge of computers and Microsoft applications of Excel, Outlook and Word and additional software comparable to those used in the school division (requests for service, preventive maintenance scheduling, etc)

Willingness to obtain membership in Saskatchewan Association of School Business Officials (SASBO)

Experience in the education sector is considered an asset

Journeyperson status in any of the related trades would be considered an asset
