##Position Summary
The Human Resources Departmental Assistant provides general administrative and recruitment related support in the day-to-day operations and activities of the Human Resources department in the delivery of customer-focused HR services. This includes assisting in the recruitment and selection of candidates for internal and external job postings, drafting and posting job advertisements, reviewing applicant resumes, preparing competition summaries, screening candidates, completing reference checks, scheduling candidate interviews, participating in new hire meetings, and coordinating general orientation for new staff members.
Qualifications
- Post secondary certificate/diploma in Human Resources, Office Administration, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of administrative experience.
- Experience in Human Resources or related environment is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated professionalism, tact, and diplomacy in interactions with others.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organization skills.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, have exceptional time management skills and perform well under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Proficient with computers, word processing and spreadsheet programs, database management and associated software applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of privacy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references.
- Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the core values of the West Parry Sound Health Centre:Compassion, Accountability, Rights and Responsibilities, Excellence, and Safety.
##Compensation & Benefits
$53,848 to $61,917 annually, based on experience
