About the Role
The Cell Operator with our Advanced Materials shop will play an integral role in the production process by maintaining the efficient operations of our automated manufacturing cells. Performing setup, operation, and continuous monitoring of our robotic systems to ensure timely and high-quality production results.
Position Details
Status: 3-month Contract
Location: Calgary, AB (NE Area)
Duties and Responsibilities

Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and customer specifications.

Configure and calibrate robotic systems according to the required production specifications.

Pre-use inspection of equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

Monitoring automated cells during production runs for safety and efficiency.
-
Troubleshoot and provide solutions for operational issues that may arise.

Required to conduct quality checks to ensure adherence to established standards and specifications.

Implementing corrective actions when necessary to address deviations.

Accurate reporting of production data, including output, downtime, and discrepancies.

Collaborating with Engineering and other departments to identify areas for optimization and enhancements.

Stay up to date on advancements in robotics technologies.

Provide training and guidance to new employees.
Required Abilities, Knowledge, Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in robotics or automation is a plus.

Previous experience operating and maintaining robotic systems in a manufacturing environment.

Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.

Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) for basic robot controls.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
