Job Description:
We are seeking a strong Senior Manager, Member Benefits & Insurance Programs
to lead and support the operations, growth, and integrity of our Member Benefits and Insurance Programs. In this role, you will lead carrier negotiations, RFPs, program analysis, and vendor relations ensuring high value to 100,000 OREA members and alignment with organizational strategy. This is an ideal role for someone who is entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing group benefit programs from the association or carrier side.

Main Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage all aspects of our member insurance & health benefits program to provide optimal value to OREA Members.
· Lead RFP processes for carriers and benefit providers.
· Evaluate and negotiate contracts with insurance carriers and brokers.
· Evaluate the effectiveness of plans and programs, including the performance of service providers, uptake, satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.
· Handle escalated member inquiries independently and work with vendors on resolutions.
· Ensure regulatory and compliance standards are met.
· Stay current on benefits trends, maintain up-to-date benefit plan documentation (contracts, booklets, and other resources), as well as develop a comprehensive benefits communication strategy.
· Provide program management across internal teams to track progress and follow up on action items.
· Collaborate with marketing to communicate offerings and drive adoption.
· Create and deliver various data reporting, deck updates, dashboards, and training sessions regularly.
· Participate in and provide input on the development of the overall Program strategy.
· Assist in reporting to Board of Directors, Finance and Audit Committee, and as required to leadership on member benefits and insurance program activities and related performance measures.
· Email and phone correspondence with Member Boards.
Qualifications and Skills
· Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Finance, HR or a related field
· Minimum of 7 years of working experience managing group insurance or health benefits programs
· Experience with Contractual Benefits Plan designs
· Proven ability to lead RFPs, negotiate contracts, and manage vendors
· Experience working with or for insurance carriers, brokers, or associations
· Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
· Ability to build relationships at all levels and be able to work individually or in a team environment
· Ability to write policies, procedures and reports
· Ability to facilitate and focus working groups
· Ability to design and develop training and presentation materials
· Maintains strict confidentiality
· Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and frequent deadlines
· Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) with the ability to compose and create a variety of letters, reports and presentations
· Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or Group Benefit Associate (GBA) designation is desirable
