Strategic Sourcing Lead
Position Overview:
Looking for a dynamic and flexible candidate to join our Sales team who will have a variety of core responsibilities. The successful candidate will need a strong attention to detail to support our growing business needs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Assess, develop and qualify potential new suppliers.
- Identify new product offerings.
- Review quote requirements from customers
- Work with suppliers to obtain pricing and lead times for quote packages
- Make recommendations and assist with supplier selection activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Understand the business requirements by coordinating with internal departments and lead sourcing projects.
- Lead RFQ activities and conduct cost analysis.
- Intimately understand the competitive landscape and perform market analysis where required.
- Drive continuous improvement opportunities in sourcing practices.
- Support the monthly reporting and tracking for departmental KPI's and Savings Targets.
- Completing quotation worksheets
- Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management based on sourcing outcomes and strategic initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned

Education / Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years sourcing experience
- Detailed understanding of sourcing processes and practices.
- Minimum 5+ years technical knowledge/experience in fasteners.
- Strong working knowledge of Smartsheet considered an asset
- Experience with CRM systems
- Working knowledge of Adobe
- Familiarity with Distribution and Automotive environments considered an asset
Additional Skills
- Fluent in Spanish considered an asset
