Focused on asphalt paving, concrete, landscape construction and other exterior construction, Forest has provided quality solutions for over 30 years. We are currently looking for a full timeFinancial Controllerforour businesses that sell and produce asphalt and concrete. The Controller will be responsible for maintaining a full set of accounting records on an accurate and timely basis. The successful candidate will be required to be organized, work in a fast-paced environment and work with the controller and President of the company. Also, the successful candidate shall be required to multitask and jump into special projects as and when required.***Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for:1. Working collaboratively with others in the accounting and finance department team.2. Supervising and mentoring finance team members, fostering professional development and a positive work environment.3. Day to day, maintaining records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.4. Monthly reporting of interim financial statements5. Preparing annual budgets and variance analysis on a regular basis6. Monitoring and reporting cash flow, financial performance, and key performance indicators, identifying trends and areas for improvement7. Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.8. Reconciliation of bank accounts, intercompany accounts, HST and all government remittances9. Preparing year end file for external accountants10.
