ISLA 221/621 (02) D2 - Introductory Arabic
Course Overview:
This course is an introduction to Modern Standard Arabic, including pronunciation, reading and writing of the Arabic script; and speaking and comprehension of basic sentences, commands, statements in the present tense. The selected candidate will prepare formal lessons and instruction in the Arabic language at the introductory level. The successful candidate will also administer tests and examinations in conformity with regulations, mark assignments and submit the final grades online using McGill systems.
Teaching Qualification Requirements
Education
M.A. or PhD degree in Arabic linguistics, literature, or a related field.
Experience
Relevant teaching experience at a university or college level.
Other
Fluency in Arabic is required.
