This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.
Your mandate
Media Solutions Finance (finance team supporting the sales department) is looking for an Analyst, Budgeting and Internal Reports, to support the month-end processes and operational needs, including monthly revenue analysis and preparation of subscription dashboards.
Reporting to the Senior Analyst, Budgeting and Internal Reporting, the analyst will be a member of a finance team closely involved in sales and content marketing strategies across CBC/Radio-Canada. This position is permanent and can be based in Toronto or Montreal.
Activities
- Obtain a good understanding of our existing day-to-day and month-end closing processes to ensure data accuracy and support special projects.
- Participate in CBC Gem et ICI TOU.TV revenues and subscriptions analysis.
- Support budget planning by coordinating administrative activities with key stakeholders and performing in-depth data analyses and reconciliation.
- Participate, with the help of the Senior Analyst, to optimize and harmonize operational month-end processes.
- Support the internal business client with their administrative needs.
- Perform other related tasks as needed.
Required profile:
- University degree in accounting or equivalent; between three to five years of relevant experience.
- CPA accounting title or working towards the same is considered a strong asset.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and practical experience with Power BI.
- Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret a large volume of data for stakeholders not specialized in finance in the Media Solutions sector.
- A keen eye for detail, autonomous and proactive.
- Demonstrates ability to independently resolve problems and provide practical solutions to management.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, partners, and members of management.
- Ability to work with various systems, tools and software simultaneously and quickly adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Desire to improve the efficiency of existing processes and contribute to maximizing revenues through the analysis and use of appropriate financial measurement instruments.
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written), a major asset.
