6 month contract, full-time opportunity Location: Remote (Canada) Working hours: Full-time role (40 hours per week) with availability from Monday through Friday EST, with potential for weekend shifts

Though we have an office based in Calgary, this is a remote position that is open to candidates across Canada. PurposeMed's office is located on the unceded and traditional territories of the peoples of the Treaty 7 region which includes the nations of the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Îethka Stoney Nakoda which consists of the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Good Stoney Bands, and people of the Tsuut'ina First Nation. The city of Calgary is also homeland to the historic Northwest Métis and to the Otipemisiwak Métis government, Métis Nation Battle River Territory, Nose Hill Métis District 5 and Elbow Métis District 6.
Who we hope to find:
PurposeMed is looking for a Workforce Coordinator to join the team! In this role, you'll have the opportunity to personally contribute to the delivery of healthcare to our patients, direct well-being. You'll play a key role in our workforce management efforts by coordinating provider schedules, forecasting patient demand, and ensuring the right clinicians are available at the right time. By monitoring capacity, responding quickly to schedule changes, and optimizing our staffing and actively impacting their ongoing care and appointment mix, you'll help us deliver seamless, patient-centered care while supporting our clinical teams. The successful candidate will focus on data entry and coordination within our provider app and requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to established procedures.
In this role, you'll make an impact by:
Ensuring Smooth Scheduling and Coordination
- Balancing clinical and patient schedules to ensure effective management of resources and flexibility in patient booking options
- Respond to last-minute scheduling issues, coordinating response to clinician absences to preserve patient appointments
- Perform a range of administrative and data entry tasks to support appointment scheduling, patient forecasting, and care delivery processes
Maintaining Accurate and Organized Data Systems
- Accurately entering data from various sources into designated databases or systems, and maintaining and updating databases or systems with new information as required
- Verifying the accuracy and completeness of the data entered and identifying and rectifying discrepancies or errors in the data
- Managing and organizing electronic files and documents, including clinical availability, appointments, lab results and referrals
Upholding Standards and Ensuring Compliance
- Consistently following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and company policies, safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Meeting internal benchmarks, ensuring efficient completion of tasks while prioritizing patient-centricity, and upholding our high standards of care
We need someone who has:
- Experience in a workforce management role or executing workforce management processes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- The ability to multitask with a high level of accuracy across multiple systems
- Basic computer skills and strong proficiency in working with spreadsheets and datasets
- The ability to prioritize and complete work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- The ability to weigh multiple potential solutions to a problem and decide upon the best course by measuring the most critical priorities
- Availability to potentially work on weekends and additional shifts (including some statutory holidays) to provide necessary coverage for patient needs
- Experience with interpreting and understanding data
It would also be great if you have:
- A basic understanding of healthcare
- Experience working in a distributed team environment
- Completion of a medical office administration program or comparable education in a related field
- Prior administrative or customer support experience, ideally including at least 1 year in a medical office, virtual healthcare, or similar professional environment
Compensation:
- $50,000 - $55,000 CAD a year, adjusted to meet contract length
