ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, the Account Manager is a newly created role that reflects Uptime Industrial's commitment to delivering exceptional service across our entire customer base. You will take ownership of an established portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring every customer receives proactive communication, responsive support, and a consistent, high-quality experience. By strengthening these relationships, you will help drive customer retention and account growth while enabling the Senior Business Development Manager to focus on strategic customer relationships and new business development. As a newly created role, this position offers the opportunity to help shape the future of account management at Uptime Industrial while developing your skills and growing your career as the business continues to expand.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Account Management
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 80-100 existing customer accounts, serving as the primary point of contact;
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication and monthly touchpoints;
- Respond to customer inquiries, resolve concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service;
- Maintain accurate customer records and account activities within the CRM.
- Account Growth
- Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts through proactive relationship management;
- Follow up on service report recommendations and completed projects to generate additional work;
- Re-engage dormant customers and support the onboarding of new customers through the company's welcome process;
- Promote Uptime Industrial's services by identifying solutions that align with customer needs.
- Quote & Project Coordination
- Coordinate with the Estimating team to ensure customer quotations are prepared, delivered, tracked, and followed up on in a timely manner;
- Collaborate with Operations, Scheduling, and Service teams to support the successful transition of awarded work into execution;
- Keep customers informed throughout the quoting and project lifecycle, ensuring timely communication and follow-up between customers and internal teams.
- Business Development Support
- Support the Senior Business Development Manager through market research, proposal preparation, and customer presentations;
- Coordinate customer meetings, events, and welcome packages;
- Follow up on assigned leads and provide administrative support for business development initiatives;
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Our Must Haves
- 3+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Service, Inside Sales, or another customer-facing role;
- Experience in the industrial, manufacturing, construction, contracting, or service industries is an asset;
- Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is an asset;
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills;
- Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system;
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams;
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with the ability to travel locally, as required.

- Wage: $60,000-$70,000 per year
- Please note - the listed base salary is dependent on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
