About the role

The Maintenance Procurement Assistant supports the department by ensuring the efficient receipt, handling, and distribution of stock and non-stock items to designated locations. The role requires accurate inventory record-keeping in accordance with departmental procedures. Additionally, the assistant provides cross-departmental support as needed to facilitate the smooth operation of all facilities.

####Job Duties:

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software), ensuring accurate documentation and proper placement in designated storage areas
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and conduct daily supply checks across facilities
  • Monitor usage trends and maintain established minimum and maximum stock levels, initiating replenishment to ensure continuous availability while adhering to company purchasing policies and approval procedures
  • Establish and organize inventory locations for newly acquired stock items.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts room, including shelves, counters, and stockrooms
  • Ensure proper recycling and disposal of packaging materials in accordance with company sustainability and waste management guidelines
  • Restock consumables such as gloves, hairnets, PPE, boots, freezer wear, and other essential supplies across all facilities
  • Coordinate and prepare supplies for visitors, plant tours, and operational needs year-round
  • Assist employees in locating and sourcing stocked and non-stocked items, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of requests
  • Provide cross-departmental support with the movement, packing, shelving, and transport of materials, including heavy or bulk items
  • Sign for deliveries and operate equipment, such as hoists, when required
  • Transport parts, paperwork, and supplies between facilities as needed
  • Exercise care when handling and transporting materials to prevent damage to walls, equipment, and furnishings
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to cost-saving measures within inventory and supply processes

####Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with computers and inventory/maintenance systems
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials as needed

Compensation:$28 to $30 hourly pay rate with an opportunity for advancement.
