About the role
Participates with or without inmates in the preparation and assembly of meals by performing duties such as:
Wash, peel, and cut of fruit and vegetable as prep schedule Cook or pan potatoes as per prep schedule Count, weigh and measure ingredients for assigned food production area Keep record of cook products in the food bank. Use FIFO method in moving out the food to tray assembly area Prepare and serves beverages Assist in production of special diets Prepare vegetable and desserts as per prep schedule Assemble sandwiches and salads Portion meal trays and special diet trays as per meal schedule Load, deliver, collect and unload meal service carts to the pods Strip down carts and trolleys and wash dishes/pots Maintain storage areas in a clean and orderly manner Work efficiently and handle all equipment and products safely
Performs any reasonable request as assigned or directed by management in a suitable timeframe.
Must be able to work weekends.
