Our client is a well-established leader in the food industry, temperature-controlled Food / CPG industry and have an existing job open for Senior Director -Supply Chain Food (Demand Planning, Transportation, Warehousing) North America (US & Canada) – Food The role is responsible for overseeing DCs, Transportation, 3PL, 3rd party carrier and setting up logistics partners, 3PL relationships. Knowledge of food grade Logistics partners in US and Canada, (3PL & 3rd party carriers LTL, Truck Load etc) their selection and performance management, setting up score cards and similar is a MUST to support the company expansion into US. This required 5 days on site and will involve 50-60% travel to Western provinces and to the US. This is a hands-on yet strategic role, requires role-up-the-sleeve attitude and will lead Supply Chain through SAP implementation and system upgrades. English & Mandarin preferred.
Set up Demand Planning & forecasting model for short shelf life products
Manage Distribution Centers, 3PL, fleet units and 3rd party carriers in a temperature controlled refer, freezer and similar food grade HACCP GMP environment Transportation, Distribution , Pick Pack , Sanitation & Pest Control Replenishment, inbound outbound food distribution.
US expansion: Set up 3PL & 3rd party carriers
Health Canada , HACCP, FDA compliance
Senior Director -Supply Chain Food (Demand Planning, Transportation, Warehousing) will be fully responsible for overseeing DC operations, setting Up partnerships, SLA and Score cards with 3PL and 3rd party carriers, load planning, managing inbound outbound transportation for Canada and US. You will provide leadership to the shipping receiving, pick pack, drivers, warehousing, operations for long haul and local city dispatch in very high-volume replenishment module for short shelf like product Produce and similar. You will oversee capital expansions automation projects and lead the Supply Chain function through SAP implementation phases. . Senior Director, Transportation, Warehousing & Supply Chain Distribution will have minimum 8-10 years in the food industry, ideally experienced in setting up SLA and partnerships in the US. Leadership performance management coaching mentoring of the team. Bachelor’s degree highly preferred, courses in P. Log, CITT, CCLP or similar with excellent English communication skills area must Mandarin preferred. This requires travel of up to 50-60% within US and Canada. All applicants MUST be Canadian passport holders or with passports that allow travel to the US without visa as per the defined duties and responsibilities. GMP HACCP and Health Canada compliance experience, transportation spends, budgets, RFP RFQ, Mandarin, experience all help.
