Our in-house design departments include Architecture, Interior Design and Experiential Graphic Design. In addition, we have a Digital Practice Department, who commits to the implementation of BIM, research + development, and the infusion of cutting-edge technology into our projects and practice.

Who We Are Looking For

As a Senior Designer, you will blend creativity with technical proficiency to significantly contribute to the delivery of projects that balance aesthetics and functionality. Collaborating within project teams and engaging with external stakeholders, you will also begin to take on the responsibility of reviewing the work of others. This position empowers you to apply your knowledge of design principles and software tools to advance innovative design solutions. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

What You Will Do

  • Leverage BIM to develop detailed plans and construction documents, create spatial concepts, floor plans, and schematics .
  • Generate visual representations and 3D models for stakeholder communication, and research materials for design objectives, ensuring compliance and quality throughout the project.
  • Coordinate project deliverables with external stakeholders, review documents for accuracy and completeness, identify issues, and propose feasible solutions to ensure alignment and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the Contract Administration process by promptly revising drawings, preparing change documentation, attending site meetings, and providing feedback to ensure accurate incorporation of changes and compliance with project specifications.
  • Facilitate effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity, transparency, and alignment with project objectives. Represent the design team in external meetings and support collaborative progress.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of building codes, by-laws, and regulations to ensure design decisions align with the latest standards and requirements.
  • Identify and communicate project risks in accordance with TF's risk management process.
  • Ensure compliance with stakeholder requirements, building codes, regulations, and design specifications.

What You Will Bring

  • Degree or Diploma in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years of progressively more responsible roles within Architecture firms.
  • Proficient experience in Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of current design trends.
  • Working knowledge of applicable building codes and municipal by-laws with experience in the municipal approval process.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid role, with 2 days in the Studio.

What We Will Provide

The annual salary band for this position is $80,000 to $90,000. Final compensation within this band will be determined at the time of hire based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
