Powered by cutting-edge technologies, CEDA provides more than 120 specialized services and cost-effective solutions across North America, creating exceptional value for our clients.We are committed to putting the right people, in the right place, at the right time while offering an inclusive work environment, opportunities for professional development, a competitive compensation package and excellent benefits.If you’re ready to take the next step in your career, CEDA has opportunities for you!Job DescriptionCEDA is currently seeking a Transportation Compliance Specialist to join our Fleet Management team based out of our Edmonton, AB location.This position is responsible for ensuring vehicles owned by CEDA are properly registered and have the appropriate permits and certifications to operate.If you have exceptional organization skills, strong problem skills and ready to play a key role on the team, apply now!What we offer:Competitive wages, excellent benefits and matching pension contributions starting on your first day!The shift is Monday – Friday with opportunity to work from home twice a week!Skill development and opportunity for growthKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsuring vehicles are registered and compliant throughout different jurisdictions in CanadaManaging the administrative and regulatory tasks when license plates need to be removed, replaced or reissuedManaging the financial and administrative tasks associated with registration servicesResponsible for transportation-related budgets, cost tracking and reporting to support financial planning and complianceManaging the US DOT fleets, audit of daily driver logs, maintain safety fitness certifications, and assist with maintaining NSC audit readiness framework.Review, maintain, and develop compliance policies to align with applicable traffic legislation and the safe operation of motor vehiclesCoordinating renewal of annual permits, trip and fuel permits, special permits, registrations, insurance cards, and other certificates related to commercial vehicles in Canada and USOverseeing regulatory programs such as IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) and IRP (International Registration Plan)Track and report on violations such as radar violations, and forward off to operational and safety teams to ensure compliance and fleet safety initiativesManage Motor Vehicle Collision Incident claims & monthly cost analysis for all incidents involving CEDA and 3rd party related motor vehicle collisionsObtaining monthly Carrier Profiles and reconcile against Incident Database to ensure proper reporting and follow up has been completedProviding support to divisions and ensuring requests for vehicle documents are acknowledged in a timely mannerOther duties as requiredRole Specifications:3-5 years’ experience in Fleet/Transportation administration is requiredPost-secondary diploma in business/management or equivalentStrong computer skills in relation to Microsoft Word, Power Point and ExcelAble to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol testClass 5 driver’s license with no more than 5 demerit points in the last 3 yearsSkills:You have an uncompromising belief in teamwork that allows you to effectively collaborate with others while supporting the goals of the businessStrong organization, prioritization, and problem solving skills with a high attention to detailYou are highly motivated and proactive; eagerly accepting new challengesYou’re happiest working in a team and representing CEDA and have the ability to work independently Additional InformationThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
