Stockroom and Inventory Management Associate Location: This position is located at Ottawa Campus Organization/Group: The Test Engineering Operations Team is looking for an energetic individual to be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing merchandise within Ciena and across contract manufactures while maintaining accurate inventory records. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Responsibilities: - Organize stockroom and maintains clean and efficient environment for serialized and non-serialized inventory - Ensure consumables inventory is always at the right levels including sending requests to purchase additional material - Prepare and bin equipment and material for stations builds based on schedule and equipment BOM. - Collect and prepare equipment for shipments to other Ciena Sites or Contract Manufactures. - Work with stockroom and inventory management team members during receiving and shipments for restocking and/or stations builds. - Track and updates inventory records in the in-house inventory tracking system Ciena Assets Tracking System (CATS) - Support team in processing of equipment shipments (international and domestic) prior to shipment hand-off to Ciena logistics team - Conducts physical inventory of stations and lab equipment, investigate data discrepancies working with extended teams to address issues and implementation of corrective measures - Responsible for - Follows all defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, Health and Safety and work instructions. The Must Have: - Proven experience in a stockroom/warehouse management. Preferably in telecom and semiconductor environment. - Strong skills using computers, including Microsoft Office; Excel, Outlook - Must be a team player and have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills - Customer service oriented and professional - Detail oriented with great organizational skills while able multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to move material up to 40 lbs. Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available. Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
