About the role

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time School Age Child Development Specialist to join our School Age Program supporting youth aged 7 to 17 years in their family homes and in community settings.

The successful candidate will work with school-aged children to support developmental goals in collaboration with a transdisciplinary team. Travel within Calgary is expected. Access to a personal vehicle is required. Preference will be given to those experienced with autism and neurodiverse-affirming practices.

Job Type and Hours of Work

  • Part-time, 1-year contract with possibility of extension
  • Approx. 15 hours/week (3+ hours per shift)
  • Flexible scheduling, including weekdays, evenings, and PD days

Requirements

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Use of personal vehicle with $1M liability insurance
  • Valid Standard First Aid & CPR
  • Clear Police and Child Welfare checks

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in a related field
  • Minimum 1 year experience with autism or developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

  • Adhering to all SASS policies
  • Collaborating with families and clinical teams
  • Maintaining and summarizing client data
  • Preparing materials for sessions
  • Attending meetings as required
