This role is hybrid onsite/remote in Burnaby, BC.

The Challenge Ahead

Reporting to a Senior Development Director, the Development Director II role oversees all aspects of people leadership and project management within the team. You will have experience leading and developing teams, driving them to deliver high-quality products to customers. You will be the lead DD on multiple tools teams, including Audio and Foundations, partnering to deliver innovative technologies that enable audio and developer workflows for our game team partners. This role is hybrid remote/in-office, and you will work from our Vancouver or Montreal office.

Day to day**,** you will**…**

  • Oversee roadmap progress and collaborate with Product and Domain leads to communicate variances to our partners.
  • Provide project management leadership for all products across both domains, ensuring quality, budgets and timelines are met.
  • Identify and address team and project risks, focusing on removing blockers that hinder the team's progress and escalating in an appropriate timeline.
  • Oversee the execution of Agile development processes.
  • Directly manage other managers and senior developers, providing coaching, feedback, and career development.

You are/you have…

  • 7+ years of project management experience on technical projects and 5+ years of team development experience.
  • Experience delivering large-scale, user-focused software products from concept to execution
  • Experience of the software development processes, with significant project, risk management, and cross-team collaboration experience.
  • Experience setting clear goals and monitoring execution towards those goals in high-change environments.
  • Experience developing talent at all levels, including senior staff and managers.

Bonus if you have…

  • Experience in a central tools team in the game development/animation/VFX industry
  • Experience surfacing and taking action from analytics and metrics

Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$138,700 - $199,900 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
