Job Description

The University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure-stream position in Palestinian Literature and Culture at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The successful candidate will have a strong record of research and teaching in Palestinian literature and culture, with a focus on contemporary issues.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and publish in the field of Palestinian literature and culture.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
  • Supervise graduate students.
  • Participate in departmental and university service.

Required Qualifications

  • A PhD in a relevant field.
  • A strong record of research and publication.
  • Experience teaching at the university level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Arabic language and literature.
  • Experience with interdisciplinary approaches.

  • The position is expected to start on July 1, 2024, or shortly thereafter.
