<p>A growing fabrication shop is currently hiring an experienced Welding<span> </span><b>Supervisor</b><span> </span>to lead our day shift. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in welding and fitting, excellent leadership capabilities, and the ability to read and interpret<span> </span><b>blueprints and fabrication drawings</b>.</p><p><b>What We Offer</b></p><ul><li>Great Wage</li><li>Full-time, permanent position</li><li>Benefits package available</li><li>Opportunity to work in a dynamic, hands-on custom fabrication environment</li></ul><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Oversee all day shift operations, including schedule and labour efficiency</li><li>Supervise and support a team of welders, fitters, and general labour staff</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints and ensure work is completed accurately and to spec</li><li>Address employee issues including attendance, performance, and training</li><li>Monitor job progress, budgets, and timelines; escalate issues as needed</li><li>Ensure strict compliance with safety policies and procedures</li><li>Train and develop staff, particularly in welding/fitting best practices</li><li>Support quality control and initiate corrective actions when non-conformances arise</li><li>Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations</li><li>Operate shop equipment as needed (crane, forklift, etc.) following proper safety training</li><li>Communicate effectively with management and other departments</li></ul> <br> <br><ul><li>Minimum<span> </span><b>7 years? experience in fitting and welding</b><span> </span>(Required)</li><li><b>Strong blueprint reading skills</b><span> </span>(Required)</li><li>Supervisory or leadership experience in a welding or manufacturing environment</li><li>Knowledge of steel fabrication techniques and processes</li></ul><p><b>To apply, please submit your resume.
