About the role:

The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values

and ensures that those values guide all decisions. Creating a caring environment for patients and families ensures

continuity of care and fosters a learning environment. Applicants are required to have a demonstrated knowledge,

understanding and commitment to this care philosophy.

Reporting to the Charge Technologist of their area, the Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) or Diagnostic Medical

Sonographer (DMS) in Diagnostic Imaging performs medical imaging procedures to aid in patient diagnosis or

treatment within the regulatory standards of practice.

Delivery of patient care and professional practice is consistent with the scope of practice of the MRT as defined by

the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO), the Philosophy and Values of the

Hospital and the policies and procedures of the Hospital.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

* Registered with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists

of Ontario(CMRITO)

* Current BCLS (as required by policy)

* Must successfully complete radiation or MRI safety courses as identified by manager on an annual basis

* Regular and sustained attendance

* Knowledge of, and adherence to the Hospital's Code of Conduct

* Basic computer skills

Salary Range: $36.840 to 50.240

work is imperative, therefore, all applicants will have to demonstrate a good attendance record to be considered for

this position.
